(Lincoln, NE) With Decision Logic’s new version 3.8 software release, users will gain a powerful new cost-cutting tool – a new document imaging functionality feature. The capability allows restaurant operations to store electronic images of invoices within their Decision Logic software suite as part of their operational workflow.

Users simply scan and upload invoices into the Decision Logic back-office software system. They are then immediately available to the corporate office for auditing – without the time and cost required for shipping and handling. In addition, the new document imaging functionality will provide more efficient document recordkeeping and archiving.

Just how much restaurants and operator groups will save depends on the size of each organization and the procedures that are currently in place for processing the paperwork. However, it could be considerable for multi-unit, multi-concept operations considering the fact that the average restaurant spends $20 to $40 per week to ship invoices from a local unit to the corporate office. That can be as much as $2,000 per year, per restaurant.

“We understand the environment in which restaurants and restaurant groups operate – where every opportunity to save money contributes to bottom line profitability,” says Jim Barber, chief technology officer, whose own career spans 26 years in technology development, the last 13 with Decision Logic. “The new document imaging functionality in our new software update will allow restaurants to realize real cost savings, which are multiplied with each unit in the operation.”
