Our solution stands alone in providing a true Declining Budget P&L for each restaurant and for the enterprise that is a by-product of the operator's staff going about their normal jobs. No additional work or special tasks are required by any resources in order for management to have access to today's budget and P&L, today.
The budget report includes budget, actual, and variance calculations. The report is customized according to the operator's specification, as the report literally starts out as a blank page awaiting instruction. Many Decision Logic customers have built a level of detail into the budget report that allows a level of detail typically associated with a restaurant profit and loss statement. Subsequent to report creation, Decision Logic will seamlessly populate the report with data that is automatically acquired from appropriate sources, including POS, A/P, etc. Variance calculations are then automatically performed for each line specified by the operator, with EBITDAR typically shown as the bottom line of the report.
Additionally, Decision Logic provides efficient capabilities for entering Accounts Payable transactions at the corporate office level. Indeed, some operators have found the Decision Logic A/P entry capability superior to that which comes standard with their accounting application. Split invoice and fast invoice entry tools allow quick entry of repetitive bills or invoices that are shared between individual restaurants, while electronic invoice import capabilities are provided for all vendors that are able to send invoices electronically.
